I had heard about bioluminescent plankton but nothing prepared me for the actual experience. Moving your hands through the dark water and watching them glow electric blue — I have no words. The healer tour was also fascinating and genuinely thought-provoking. Siquijor is magic.
The old Balete tree is incredibly atmospheric — hundreds of years old with massive roots. Cambugahay Falls is stunning and great for cliff jumping. The local healer we visited was fascinating even if you are skeptical. Siquijor is genuinely unlike anywhere else.
